Lash Extensions
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours:
Moisture of any kind must be prevented from coming in contact with your lashes – that is no shower, sauna, swimming or go to the gym. During the first 24 hours of curing, the adhesive that hold your extensions in place will break down if it comes in contact with moisture, causing your extensions to fall out faster.
After the first 24 hours, when taking a shower, avoid letting the water to fall directly on your lashes.
Water pressure from the shower may be too strong, forcing your lashes to fall out prematurely. Also, after showering or swimming, always dab the eye area dry with a lint-free towel, tissue, or paper towels and gently brush your lashes into place and let them air dry.
Avoid using all oil-based or cream-based products including eyeliners, mascaras, cleansers, makeup removers and facial moisturizers around the eye area:
These oil- or cream-based products contain ingredients that will weaken the adhesive that hold your extensions in place and cause them to fall out faster. If you need to wear eye makeup, ensure that they are water-based ONLY. When it is time to remove your makeup, use only oil-free pads and gently swipe downward rather than back and forth to clean your lashes and lids. As for cleanser, ensure that it is formulated specifically for use with eyelash extensions.
Avoid rubbing your eyes with your hands or a towel or sleeping with a pillow pressed against your face:
This will cause your extensions to get twisted and become loosen leading to premature lash loss.
Avoid pulling, picking or playing with your extensions:
If you need to remove your extensions, please visit Stylin’ Nails salon to have them taken off by our professional lash artists. Removing them on your own may risk damaging your natural lashes.
Do brush your lashes at least twice a day:
Your lashes can get tangled from time to time, especially when your are sleeping or showering. Use a clean spoolie brush or mascara wand provided by your lash artist to gently comb through your lashes and straighten them out. You should do this when you wake up, after you shower, and at the end of the day, to prevent your extensions from becoming twisted, especially if they are wet.
Avoid perming or tinting your lash extensions
Allergic reactions or irritations are rare:
Minor irritations may occur but will go away in a few hours. If you need to use eye drops, take extra care to prevent moisture from coming in contact with the lash extensions. If irritations persist for more than 24 hours or an allergic reaction occurs, please seek medical assistance.
Lash Lifts
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours:
Moisture of any kind should be avoided, that is, no showering, swimming, sauna or go to the gym (sweat) to allow for the setting solution to fully cure in order to achieve its full effect.
Avoid wearing eye makeup, mascara or having facial treatments for the first 24 hours:
After 24 hours, you may ONLY use water-based (clear) mascara if needed.
Avoid rubbing and be gentle to your lashes.
Allergic reactions or irritations are rare:
A little redness is normal and should go away in a few hours. If redness or irritation persists for more than 24 hours, please seek medical assistance.
Brow & Lash Tinting
Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes immediately after treatment:
If irritation or redness occurs, place a cool moist cotton pad gently over the affected eye area.
Keep your brows and lashes away from water for 24 hours and hot water or steam for 48 hours:
Allowing the dye enough time to settle into your brows or lashes will make it less likely to fade prematurely.
Avoid all oil-based cleansers or makeup removers at all times:
The oil can strip the tint way from your lashes and eyebrows. However, gentle water-based cleansers are OK.
Avoid combing your eyebrows excessively:
This can lift the tint up, so just a quick shape in the morning should be all that is needed.
The tint color will fade:
Your newly tinted brows and lashes may initial look darker than what you desire, but over a few days as you cleanse your face, it will get lighter and closer to the right darkness.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or UV light as it can decrease the tinting effects faster.
Allergic reactions or irritations are rare:
A little redness is normal and should go away in a few hours. If redness or irritation persists for more than 24 hours, please seek medical assistance.
